Guns With a History - Antique Firearms Winchester Model 1866 Carbine, serial # 44,xxx. Factory engraved by Conrad Ulrich Sr. .Gold finished receiver and blue barrel. Traces of gold remains as well as some blue. Otherwise untouched patina. Very rare 1x wood, and so marked on the tang along with "G" for gold and "Ulrich". Very fine condition.
Guns With a History - Antique Firearms Winchester Model 1866 Carbine serial # 107,xxx. Engraved by Louise D. Nimschke and signed L.D.N. on the bottom of the receiver. Full silver plate. This is one of six carbines done by Nimschke on commission from Winchester in 1872. Excellent original , untouched condition, with most of the original silver finish remaining. Stocks are Circassian walnut.
Guns With a History - Antique Firearms Winchester Model 1866 Carbine serial # 14,xxx. Very rare 1st model flat-side carbine. Shows heavy use and replaced stocks. Very hard to find in any condition. This was one of the first guns that George Madis brought out of Mexico in the late 1950's.
