Long Gun #006: British Enfield Pattern 1859 Artillery Carbine with original cutlass bayonet. The carbine has been re-stocked using American Live Oak and isno completely inletted. There are no Broad Arrow marks present. Birmingham proofs are on the barrel, and the lock is marked 1861 Tower. The bayonet is marked CKC in a sheild at the ricasso, and 28 on the pommel. This gun came out of an old Civil War museum in New England. |

Long Gun #007: U.S. Springfield Model 1816 Musket converted to percussion. This relic was found in the 1960's near the Val Verde Battlefield in New Mexico. Cut to carbine length. Also shown is a horseshoe found at the same time. |

Long Gun #008: Sharps New Model 1863 Carbine # C26546. Converted to .50-70 gov't. Barrel has been cut to 11 inches. Traces of old red paint on the wood. There are many names for these cut down long guns, bar guns, blanket guns, etc. Suffice it to say, call it what you like, it is a handy, easy to conceal handfull of firepower.Illegal unless an antique like this one. Over a bar it sure would enforce the age limit. |

Long Gun #009: Winchester Model 1892 Carbine #828498, 18" lightweight barrel. .38wcf Cal. This appears to be an original Winchester, but no verification is available. |

Long Gun #010: Marlin Model '94 Short Rifle #328956. 20" barrel. .25-20cal. This rifle came out of Mexico years ago. The seller said that there was a corrido written about the man who owned this gun during the Revolution.Show heavy use and crude repairs. Rear sight elevator is a piece of wood. |

Long gun #013: Richard Hollis Doublebarreled Percussion Shotgun. 12 ga. 30" barrels. Circa 1830. Identical to the Hollis shotgun used by Mirabeau Lamar at the Battle of San Jacinto. This one belonged to Capt. William Ware. |

Long Gun #014: French Doublebarrel Combat Percussion Shotgun. 32" barrels, .12ga. Fitted with original sling swivels and socket bayonet, Circa 1860. Type used by Southerners during the War Between the States. |

Long Gun #015: Model 1807 Indian Carbine made on government contract by Peter Gonter of Lancaster , Pa. in 1808. U.S. musket barrel with no bayonet lug and pistol size lock. Gonter marked on the sideplate. US and 1808 stamped in the stock. Tacks appear genuine. The contract for these guns is known, but this is the only example to surface thus far. |

Long Gun #018: Heavy Plains Rifle made by Neal N. Ralph of Gallipolis, Ohio in the 1850's. 37" barrel, .50 cal. Old repair to the wrist of the stock, but otherwise in excellent condition. |

Long Gun #021: U.S. Model 1803 Flintlock Rifle, later production, made by Harper's Ferry Arsenal in 1816. Barrel shortened, bored out to smoothbore .60 cal., and converted to percussion. Shows long hard service over many years. H.B. Goode is inscribed on the inside lid of the patchbox. Henry B. Goode from Florida fought in the Seminole Wars and with the Florida Infantry during the War Between the States. This old gun surfaced in Florida a few years back. |
